A Vision of Light and Contrast
For Lakmé Fashion Week Fall 2016, we crafted the art direction and visual identity around the concept of ‘Illuminate’—a celebration of contrasts, unexpected pairings, and bold self-expression. The idea was to shine a light on the abstract, the mismatched, and the unconventional, making the overlooked feel striking and new.
The visual language played with light, shadow, and texture, creating a dynamic aesthetic that felt both high-fashion and avant-garde. Through this approach, Lakmé Fashion Week became more than a showcase—it was a statement on beauty in contrast, where the bold and the unusual took centre stage.
