India in tourism has unapologetically been restricted to the same monotonous and clichéd imagery.
That’s something we’re not okay with.
In 2016, Indianama brought before you India as a land of change while essaying its tale through art. With an incredible number of artists pouring in with their work, we revisited the 69 years of Indian Independence through 69 creative pieces, from 1947 to 2016.

12 - 15 August : New Delhi
6 - 24 September : London Design Festival
This year we're keeping focus outward. A lot has been written and talked about India, but yet a lot hasn't even hit the surface. So we asked 70 artists around the world to come up with their own version of what India means to them. To convey in their own style a living picture of the different facets of this beautiful country. All 70 motion artworks will be unveiled at a venue in New Delhi on 12th August 2017 for 3 days. Limited edition prints of only one per artist will be on sale at the event.
In September, the entire exhibit will move to London, in collaboration with Create Culture to be a part of London Design Festival.
A little birdie tells us there may also be the charming possibility of printing a coffee-table big book with all 70 artworks. More details soon.
